We will never forget this Easter Sunday. We were able to bless our sweet baby, Sariah Kate on this special day.
The day started out great! My family was able to help us clean the house and finish preparing for the luncheon that was to follow. My mom and Reagan were a big help in helping me make gum paste daisies to put on Sariah’s blessing cake. Thank you for your help!
It was fun to be able to dress the kids in their new Sunday Easter outfits. The girls looked darling in their matching skirts and bows and Owen of course looked handsome in his new tie.

After making sure we had everything in order, we headed off to attend our meetings. We had lots of family come and support us. It was so neat to see all the priesthood holders surround our little girl to give her a name and a blessing! Mark gave the most beautiful blessing. From the moment she was born, we knew that she has a very strong, sweet and gentle spirit and that she will do much good in this world. His blessing was perfect for her. He blessed her that she would be strong in the gospel and sensitive to the Spirit. He also blessed her that when she is old enough she will find a worthy young man to take her to the temple to be married and make essential covenants with our Heavenly Father. We learned after the blessing that when Mark had said this, she had smiled a big smile. She definitely knows what she needs to do to be able to return Home. I am so happy to have a husband who honors the Priesthood and is worth to give our children blessings. It truly has been a great blessing and I love him dearly for it!
The rest of Sacrament meeting was such a spiritual experience. It was so neat to have Easter Sunday land on Fast Sunday. Our testimonies were strengthen by each person that got up to testify. I know that our Savior LIVES! And that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church and that Jesus Christ is at the head leading it! We were definitely spiritually fed and felt close to our Savior.
After the meeting, we returned to our house to welcome our family and friends. For the luncheon, we served BBQ chicken sandwiches and various types of salads and chips. It was such a nice warm day that we were able to set up some table and chairs and enjoy our lunch outside. We loved being able to talk and see our family again. Thank you to all who helped and came. We definitely felt of your love and we appreciate your support. It made Sariah’s special day even more special having so many family and friends come. We love you all!
The cake turned out just how I had pictured it! I loved the purple, yellow, and white daisies.
I few weeks before Sariah was born, I made her blessing dress. Luckily it fit! I think if we would have waited another month to bless her I would have had to let out the sleeves. She has some chunky arms! She looked beautiful in the dress and headband!

What a beautiful dress and a beautiful baby girl! Congrats!
We blessed Quincy on Easter too. 🙂
