Our sweet little girl is now 8 months old! She is such a joy to have in our family. We are all smitten with her cuteness and smile.
She is learning new things everyday! She loved to pull herself up to standing and walk along. She just started to try and let go. She can stand for just a few seconds and then sits down.
She has learned how to climb up the stairs and she is very fast at it! Now she just has to learn how to go down them.
She is by far our most curious! Her favorite thing to do is put ANYTHING and EVERYTHING into her mouth. She has given us a few chocking scares. One was just this past Thursday when she found a Halloween candy wrapper and swallowed it. She was able to swallow it but we had to take her down to Primary Children’s to get an X-ray of her chest. The doctors wanted to see if the wrapper was lodged in her esophagus or aspirated. We consider ourselves very blessed that nothing was found and that Sariah was ok. Needless to say that we had a sit down talk with Vanessa and Owen on the importance of not leaving wrappers and other small pieces on the floor.
She also has been teething like crazy. She had three top teeth come in all in one week. She was a bit cranky which is always hard but they finally broke through!
She loves to play toys with her brother and sister. Any times they are playing she is right there waving her arms up and down with toys in her hands. So cute to watch.
She can now say mom and more. They both sound like “ma”. She will say “ma” when she is hungry and wants to nurse. She is also say it if we are not feeding her food fast enough. She can also clap her hands. She loves when we praise her and will respond by clapping her hands. That is also how she signs “more.”
Her favorite game to play is peek-a-boo. She will grab the blanket and cover her face by herself and pull it down. Then she just laughs and laughs!
She still loves to suck her thumb and finds comfort in her yellow blanket. Whenever it’s nap time all w have to do is give her her blanket and she will find her thumb and drift off to sleep.
She now weighs 18 lbs 4 oz. She is growing fast and we just loving watching her!
