We were able to go and stay the weekend, July 20-21, with our friends, Travis and Rachel, in their family cabin located in Midway. We met them at the Burger Keen in Heber. The hamburgers were delicious and was exactly what we were craving! We also got to sample a variety of pop flavors! So much fun and we got stuffed! The kids had fun playing on the little train while eating.
After eating, we headed up to the cabin. The weather was so nice and the cabin is in the perfect location. The kids had fun playing before it got too dark. Vanessa and Owen were so excited to be able to sleep in bunk beds and in a cabin. They loved it! After getting the kids in bed for the night, we played some games and enjoyed talking with each other. We stayed up until 2:30 am. That is WAY to late for us old folks but we had a great time visiting.
We were able to sleep in a bit the next morning before the kids wanted to get up and play. We had a nice breakfast and they got ready for some fun. We went for a little hike with the kids, pulled them in a wagon, and even got to go for a ride on the four wheeler. The kids loved that! We enjoyed the rest of the day playing games and chatting. We were going to fix a nice dinner before leaving but the weather decided to go bad and rain on us. So we packed up and headed back home. We were able to join the Thompson’s for dinner at their house that evening. We sure had a blast with our friends and enjoyed getting to know them even better! Thanks Travis and Rachel for inviting us for a fun and relaxing weekend getaway!
