With summer in full swing, I have been busy making wedding and birthday cakes. I was able to make a cake for our realtors’ daughter. It was by far the most stressful to make. It wasn’t that it was a hard design because it was very simple but due to the humidity, I couldn’t do the stripping on the cake so I ended up taking it off and hard to re-fondant the whole thing the night before. Needless to say, I was a bit stressed! In the end, it all turned out perfectly and the bride and groom loved it!

The next weekend, I was busy making another cake for my cousin down in Delta. I was nervous to drive with a cake for 3 hours but it made it safely there and turned out great! I love how the fondant swags turned out. It made it look so elegant!

While down it Delta, we got to visit with my family and I got to see some of my aunts, uncles, and cousins from Mexico that I haven’t seen in a long time. It was fun to talk with them and see how they are doing. We also got go and play in the new splash pad. The kids had fun cooling off before heading to my parents house.  That night we were able to stay with my grandma. It is always fun getting to see her. The kids were so excited to be able to sleep on the hide-a-bed. We sure enjoyed our time in Delta!

Tis’ the season for Cakes!
