This past weekend, I was able to make a chocolate wrapped wedding cake for a friend from work. It was such a fun cake it make. Amy wanted a brownie cake instead of a traditional cake. Brownies are a bit harder to do because they stick to the pan and don’t rise like a cake does. So I figured out that I needed to line the pans with aluminum foil to get the brownie to come out nicely. It took me all day Thursday to bake them. It was a long day.
Wrapping the cake in chocolate was the easy and fun part. I loved how it turned out! Such a fun look!
Taking it to the wedding is always the nerve wrecking part. Mark drove while I supervised it in the back of the van. It made it there in one piece which was a huge relief.
At the wedding I put the finishing touches on the cake which consisted off sugared strawberries and raspberries. It turned out beautiful!
