We surprised the kids with tickets to go see Walking with Dinosaurs in Salt Lake. We wanted to get them tickets for sometime now but they were just so outrageously priced. About two weeks ago, I got on Groupon to look at some deals and they were featuring tickets to the show at half price! I was so excited that we could finally get some tickets and not break the bank!
The whole way down to Salt Lake, Owen and Sariah were telling us how excited they were to see the dinosaurs. Sadly, Vanessa wasn’t feeling the best so she wasn’t as excited. Poor thing. She has the worst of luck when getting sick. She toughed it out and still was able to enjoy the show though. To say that Owen was excited is an understatement! He was bouncing in his seat! When the show started he was awestruck. The dinosaurs looked so real and they were huge! He kept telling me, “Take a picture, Mom! You have to take a picture of everyone because they are just so cool, right?” He also said, “When I get big, I want to be a person that looks for dinosaur bones!” His favorite dinosaur was the T-Rex. Sariah was also really loving the show. She kept yelling at the dinosaurs to move when the Raptors were trying to attack. It was too cute! She would also get up and clap and cheer when they got away. She really liked the baby dinosaurs and kept talking to them.
The show was really awesome! We all enjoyed it and I think we were able to fulfill a dream of Owen’s of seeing a “real” dinosaur. That right there made my night to see how happy he was!
