We woke up early to get things packed and ready to head to the airport to catch our flight back home. It was hard to leave and say bye to the Nairs. It was fun to spend a few days with them and get to know Dameon and Gideon more and see that part of the country. Before going to the airport, we decided to go and see the St. Louis Temple. It is located in a section of the city dedicated for religious worship. There is lots of buildings of other faiths that surround the temple. It was interesting to see and it was also a testimony to us which church was true. The temple stood out among the other buildings like a light in the darkness, beckoning all to come. It is so beautiful and a great way to end our vacation. The kids thought it was so neat to see another temple and walk around the grounds.
We enjoyed a quick lunch on the grass before we had to return our car at the rental agency. Then it was on to get everyone through security and on the plane. Phew! That last part was a challenging task with 4 kids but we were able to do it. Sariah and Chad slept most of the way which made for an easy flight. Vanessa and Owen enjoyed reading books, playing games and watching a movie. We got a lot of compliments on well our children behaved on the plane. It is always so nice to be reminded that we have good kids. We made it home safely. We were all really sad our vacation was over but happy that we were able to do all that we wanted to do and visit our family. Now, we need to start planning our next vacation!
