We officially have a 2nd grader and preschooler in our house! Our kids are just growing up way to fast!
Vanessa was a bit sad to go back to school and start 2nd Grade. She didn’t want summer to end because she wouldn’t be able to spend the days with her family. I don’t blame her one bit. I am going to miss her while she is at school. She also was a bit apprehensive to have a new teacher. After she came home from school the first day, she was once again excited about school. I asked her how school was and she replied with two thumbs up, “I loved it and my teacher is so fun!” I am so glad that her excitement has returned!
Owen started Little Learner’s Preschool this year. We debated on whether to put him in Kindergarten this year but in the end just didn’t feel like he was quite ready emotionally yet. It was a very good decision. He was so excited to start school! I have tried to mommy school him but he did not like it one bit. It was too hard for him to concentrate with both his siblings running around. So him being excited about school was a huge step! I knew that he needed to go outside the home to be able to learn with kids his age. After his first day, I asked him how he liked it and he responded with arms shaking in the air, “It was AWESOME!!” I am so happy that he loved it! He is going to learn so much this year! I am so excited to see both kids grow and learn lots of new things this year!
