We headed up to Evanston to visit our friends, the Jones’. RoShawn is due any day with their little boy and we wanted to go up and help with anything that they needed before the baby arrives. We brought up some meals and were able to fix them dinner, breakfast, and lunch and help clean their house.
We also went to a Railroad event that was going on that weekend. The kids had a lot of fun making conductor hats, looking at all the trains and riding a mini train. We also got to ride on the original turntable that was used to turn the engines around. That was pretty cool! After the railroad event, we went and got some ice cream at a local shop. Ice cream is always a favorite of ours. We always enjoy time with the Jones’. The kids had so much fun playing together and us adults, enjoyed talking and catching up. We consider it a tremendous blessing to have such amazing friends to get together with!
