We were able to go to a free Princess and Pirate Festival at Station Park in Farmington. The kids were so excited to go and dress up as princesses and pirates. I even dressed baby Chad up as a little pirate. He looked so darn adorable!

I took all 4 kids early so we could avoid long lines but that meant I had to watch all 4 kids by myself until Mark joined up with us after work. Yikes! There were a lot of people there but we were able manage it. Vanessa wanted to see the princesses so we stood in line to meet some of them. Sariah was excited at first but when it was her turn she didn’t want her picture taken with them. Owen got to meet some pirates and get his picture taken with them too. He thought that was pretty cool.

They got to do some activities like decorating a rice krispy treat with frosting and sprinkles, play games for candy and prizes, and get their face painted. Getting their faces painted was the highlight of the night! Maybe it was because we had to wait in an extremely long line so when it was finally our turn, their excitement was ready to explode! Owen got a cool shark that when he opened his mouth it looked like the shark was opening its mouth. Vanessa wanted Elsa and the lady did a great job painting a fun crown and snowflakes. Sariah was excited to get a princess crown and she even got a painting on her hand as well.

We were able to see our neighbors, the Long’s, while we were there. Andrea was the one that told me about the free event. I am so glad that she shared the information with me because our little family sure had a lot of fun together!
