Owen is one lucky little boy. His birthday weekend since moving to Clinton has fallen on Clinton City’s Heritage Days. So to celebrate this year, we went to the parade in the morning. It started to rain while waiting for the parade to start and we got soaked. It let up and we were able to enjoy the parade and get some candy.
The Mendoza’s came up to help us celebrate and we were able to go to the carnival. The kids had fun riding all the kiddie rides and Grandpa even won two stuffed animals for the kids.
After the carnival, we went to the Golden Corral and ate until we felt like we would explode! It was yummy and the waiters even sang Happy Birthday to Owen. He was pretty excited about that.
We came home and got things ready for his party. Owen wanted a Spider Man theme and cake. The cake was fun to make and turned out super cute! He wouldn’t stop talking about it. The family came over and Owen enjoyed opening up all his presents and blowing out his candles.
To end the night, we went out in our backyard and watched the fireworks. Owen thinks he is pretty darn special that he gets fireworks for his birthday. He is absolutely right! He is very special indeed! We love you Mr. Owen and love all that you bring to this family. You keep us smiling and loving life and you teach us everyday that having fun is very important and that there is no end to the things that you can image and dream of. We pray that you will keep this love of life that you have and that you will always be able to dream big and have fun!
