Valentine’s Day was pretty low key for us this year. Both Mark and I have decided that we will celebrate the official Valentine’s Day with the family and do something fun with them. Then on the weekend before or after Valentine’s go on a date. That way we can actually get a restaurant and enjoy our time there without all of the other couples.

So to celebrate with the family, we made heart pizzas for dinner. Vanessa had a lot of fun making them. Owen would have but he had fallen asleep and didn’t want to wake up to make his so Vanessa did. They turned out delicious. I made a heart for each of the kids and Mark that said how things I love about them and placed it on their plate before dinner. It was so fun and simple but they all loved reading it. After dinner, we played some games with the kids and gave them their Valentine’s which was a fun book for each of them. I loved being able to spend the day with all of my sweet Valentine’s!

Mark did surprise me with some chocolate, sparkling cider, and a nice card that night. We then relaxed and watch a nice romantic movie to end the night.

On the weekend, the Jones family came down to visit. Friday we spent the night talking, playing games, and watching movies. The kids had so much fun together like always. The first thing Anellina and Vanessa wanted to do was swap pajamas. Its a thing that they love doing. What silly girls.

On Saturday, we were able to go to the Bountiful Temple with Josh and RoShawn and do some sealings. The temple was packed so we didn’t stay too long but it was nice to just be in the temple and partake of the sweet and calming feeling found there. It was so nice just to relax and forget the world for just a few hours. I am so blessed to be sealed to my Valentine forever through the sacred ordinances only found in the temple. What a great blessing that has been in our lives and our family.

After getting back home, we went out to Farr’s Fresh Ice cream with the kids for a treat. It is such a fun place to go. It has all kinds of flavors of soft serve ice cream with all kinds of toppings! Lots of yummy creations! We had a great Valentine’s weekend with family and friends! We couldn’t have asked for more!
