Valentine’s Day was pretty low key this year with having a new baby and all. When the kids woke up they found their Valentine presents and mailbox sitting by the fireplace. They were super excited to open their presents and see what they got in their mailboxes. Their mailboxes were filled with candy and a dinosaur dissolving bath tub egg. Inside was a little dinosaur. Owen got a green one and Vanessa got a purple one. Grandma Mendoza bought them some bubble bath and the eggs to go along with what we got them. Thanks Grandma! They loved them! We got Vanessa a pink princess cape! She loves it and calls it her Princess Aurora cape. Owen got a dinosaur cape. He was excited that it had a dinosaur on it but hasn’t worn it yet. It’s a good thing that I just made it. Hopefully he will want to wear it one of these days.
That morning for breakfast we made pink heart pancakes with whip cream, bananas, and strawberries. They were yummy and it is always fun to see the kids get so excited to eat their meal. The rest of the day was spent playing with the kids and just relaxing. Mark and I decided that we weren’t going to get big presents for each other this year. Our present came a few days earlier and we couldn’t be more happy. Mark did get me some pretty purple daisies and a CD of love songs. I got him a gift card to go to the Gray Cliff Lodge of dinner. Hopefully we will get some time to go and do that! We had a lot of fun being together as a family. It was a great way to spend Valentine’s especially because it was with the ones we LOVE!
