On December 22, we headed down to the annual Carter Family Christmas Party. It was held at the Roberts’ house this year. We enjoyed the day with our family and had fun talking and playing. We had a yummy dinner of soups and salads and lots of Christmas goodies. After we all were fed and full, we gathered around to exchange gifts.  We had Vickie and Russ this year and got them a nice picture of Christ to hang in their home. They loved it! Steve and Shelly had us and they gave us a nice laundry basket full of laundry room supplies. It was the perfect gift because we were close to finishing our laundry room! The Sorensen grandkids got together and made a 2012 memory book for Grandpa and Grandma Carter. It is always hard trying to find the perfect gift for them but I think we nailed it! They loved it and it will be such a fun thing for them to look at and stay up to date with all of our lives.

Gpa and Gma gave everyone a fun candy machine. The kids were pretty excited about that. They also gave us some of their old board games to play with our family. Vanessa and Owen got and easel. They were so excited about drawing on it. It was a wonderful gift! The girls got princess wands and a purse and Owen got a Darth Maul action figure. He was thrilled!

We feel so fortunate to have such an amazing family! It is time like these when we are all together that we really feel of how blessed we are. A happy family is definitely the best Christmas present anyone can ask for! Thank you all for letting us share this day with you and create wonderful memories!
