Just a week after Thanksgiving, my mom went into have a full knee replacement. She had been living with a log of pain for years and the doctor ruled that her knee was blown.
The surgery went well. She was in quite a lot of pain for the first 3 days. She could stand with out being overwhelmed with pain. It was hard to see her like that.
I was able to go down and help out with the family. It was fun being down there and being with the kids and Dad while Mom recovered.
She was released to the hospital in Delta and has been there for the past week recovering. The pain is lessening and she is walking more. She is finally is home and doing well. I am so grateful for the advancement in the medical field which allows people like my mom to get a new knee so they can have a more fulfilling and longer life.
