For an activity, we decided to take the kids down to the grand opening of the new Living Planet Aquarium. We had been to the old one a few years ago and the kids loved it. The new building is much bigger and very impressive. The kids were able to walk across a rope bridge which they thought was pretty darn cool! We were able to see lots of different animals like turtles, fish, otters, penguins, sharks, toucans, ducks, octopus, and much more. Our favorite things that we saw were the penguins, otters, and sharks. We were able to watch the penguins and otters swim and dive which was so neat. The sharks and fish are housed in a wall to wall aquarium and they even had a tunnel that you can walk through and be surrounded by the water animals. The kids thought that was so cool!
Because the aquarium was still trying to get some of the animals in their new homes, we got a free pass to come back this summer to visit again. We are excited to take the kids back and get to see all the animals and to have another fun family outing.
