With kids, Valentine’s Day takes on a whole new meaning. Yes, it is a day to celebrate Mark and I’s love for each other but it also is a day where we get to celebrate our family! I have a saying hanging in our home that sums it up, “All because two people fell in love.” So true! We wouldn’t have our beautiful children if that wasn’t the case!
So this year we decided to hold a Valentine Ball. I made a special invitation to give to the kids inviting them to the ball. They were so excited to be able to dress up fancy and to dance. We had a fun Valentine Dinner and then got ready for the ball. The boys dressed in their Sunday best (well, Owen did at first but thought his Storm Trooper costume was much better) and the girls got on our fancy dresses. I decorated our downstairs with streamers and balloons to set the mood. We danced to Disney songs which are loved at our house. Vanessa and Sariah loved dancing with their dad and twirling around and around. I even got to dance with my sweetheart for a few songs. This by far was one of the most special and memorable Valentine’s Day we have had. It really was so much fun celebrating with our family. This will have to become a family tradition! We all loved it so much!!
I can’t forget to add how lucky I am to have my true love in my life. Mark is definitely my better half! I am so grateful that we have been married and sealed together for all time and eternity. I will be together forever! What more could I ever want than this? Happy Valentine’s Day!!
