Christmas morning was as success! The kids actually slept so we just took our time waking up. When they finally did wake up they were so excited to see all the presents under the tree and that Santa came and ate there cookies and even left them a little letter. We decided to all meet in Vanessa’s room and have some cereal before we started opening presents. We quickly ate our meal and gathered in the front room and began opening presents! Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen came while we were opening presents to see all that the kids got. They were excited to show them all of their new toys!
Vanessa treasures this year included a Princess Playdough set, Ballerina Sticker Book, Friends Lego Set, Stompies, Ariel doll and the Disney Petite Princesses Set. She was very excited about the Stompies and dolls. She also was excited to get some Legos.
Owen made out with a Ninja Turtle Lego Set, a Star Wars Lego set, Stompies, a Dinosaur Book, Jagger the Switch and Go Dino, Bakery Playdough set, and a Star Wars toy. He was so excited to get Jagger and the Legos. Jagger has voice command so he had fun telling him what to do and seeing him move.
Sariah had so much fun this year opening her presents! She got a Little People Disney Castle, Princess Lego Set, Playdough set, Cinderella Baby Doll, and the Goose on the Loose book. She loved her new baby doll and toted it around everywhere.
Mark got a Star Wars Lego Set and a new basketball. I also gave him 12 months worth of preplanned and prepaid dates. He thought that was a great idea and we are excited to start using them.
I got a fancy new curling iron, a beautiful necklace, and the new Piano guys cd. Mark and I didn’t get much this year because we decided to use the money to get a few things for the house and we are both OK with that.
After opening presents, we quickly got ready and headed over to the Sorensen’s. Arianne would be Skyping the family around lunch time so we were all excited to visit with her. We were also able to Skype with my brother Cody around the same time. It was so fun to see and chat with both missionaries. They are both doing awesome!
We were able to come home for the rest of the evening and had fun building all the new Lego sets and playing with them. We actually spent the rest of the day playing with them. Owen and Vanessa have such great imaginations that it was so much fun playing with them. We truly enjoyed this Christmas and feel blessed that we got to spend it in our new home with our cute little family!
