We have been planning for over a year to take our kids to Disneyland with our friends, the Jones’. We picked to go the week of October 22-27th and to do Mickey’s Halloween Party while there. The kids knew that we were going to go but didn’t know exactly when. To be honest, I was so worried that I wouldn’t be better by then and would have to miss the trip but luckily I was able to be recovered enough to go with my family.

Each year Mark’s boss gives us airline tickets to use for a family vacation so we decided that we would use them for our Disney trip and fly into Long Beach, CA.  We had an early flight so we had to be up and ready by 5:00 to get to the airport in time. The kids were so excited to go and so were we! Getting 3 kids and 3 carseats and luggage into the airport was a treat but we made it. The kids did great on the flight. They loved looking out the windows and seeing the sky and clouds and land below. Flying was definitely the best decision! We were able to get to California fast and start our vacation!

We rented a car and drove to the hotel where we met up with our friends. We checked into our hotel, ate lunch and made our way over to California Adventure.  The kids were all so excited to be together and to go on all the rides. Vanessa and Anellina were tall enough for most the rides which made it fun. Owen sadly was not…which he was not happy about. They girls really enjoyed Soarin’ Over California, the new Cars ride and the Little Mermaid ride. Sariah especially loved Little Mermaid.

For dinner that night, we ate at Ariel’s Grotto Character Diner. It was fun to be able to have all the princesses come and take pictures with them. Sariah loved seeing them but when Minnie Mouse came out she wanted nothing more than to run and hide from her. She did not like her! She would go up to the human princesses and give them hugs and kisses but none were reserved for Minnie Mouse. What a silly little girl.  Vanessa was excited to see Princess Aurora and get her autograph.

After dinner, we hit the park again and rode all the rides we could. Before leaving the park that night, we were able to see the World of Color show. What a fun water/light show!!! That was our first time seeing it and we really enjoyed ending the night with the show.IMG_2213OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2228IMG_2218OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2226OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2221OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2229OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2235OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2242OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2262IMG_2263OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA20131022_16345020131022_163509OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2314IMG_2315IMG_2317IMG_2320OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIMG_2330OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA20131022_181300
