For Spring Break, we decided to go on a mini vacation to Logan. Vanessa was really excited to go back and see where she was born and lived when she was a baby. The weather that weekend was wet and cold but we still made the best of it!
We drove up on a Friday and went to Baby Animal Days. The rain had stopped for a bit so we were able to see the animals, ride the train and horses. It was muddy but the kids didn’t mind one bit! The kids really loved holding the baby ducks and chicks and riding the horses.

The rain decided to start up again and it was pouring. We rushed to stand in line to see the baby bears and get out of the rain. While waiting in line the kids were able to hold some tiny turtles. They loved them and tried to convince Mark and I that we should take some home! Finally it was our turn to see the bears! They were so cute and fun to see. You don’t get to see baby bears too often! After seeing the bears, we headed back to the car to eat some lunch and go to our next adventure.
We drove into town and checked into our hotel. The kids were thrilled to be staying at a hotel and kept calling it “our very own condo!” Staying in the hotel was probably the highlight of the whole trip for the kids. We then went and saw the movie The Croods. It was a very cute and a fun movie to take the kids to. They love going out to the movies and it is always a special treat!
For dinner, we went to Angie’s to eat. Angie’s is where all the “locals” go in Logan. We thought it would only be fitting if ate there for our Logan vacation. We had a lot of fun eating and Owen even got dinosaur chicken nuggets.

We returned to our hotel to finish out the night by going swimming in the pool and playing some board games. We had a lot of fun playing in the water together and it was just so nice to be able to spend good quality time with each other.
The next morning, we got the kids ready for the day and packed to head out on days adventure. We took the kids to see where we lived while going to school and they walked on campus. We took some pictures on the famous “A” and they walked the quad and campus to get some Aggie Ice Cream. The kids weren’t thrilled walking all that way but were delighted to have some ice cream in the end. After lunch, we waved goodbye to Logan and headed on home to get repacked so we could head to stay at the Jones’ for Conference weekend.

Vanessa and Owen were so excited to be going to visit them! We enjoyed watching as much conference you can with 5 small kids and enjoyed our time visiting with them. We are so grateful that we got to take this little vacation with our family. We enjoyed making memories together and reminiscing about all of our adventures we had there in Logan.
