I took Sariah to her 1 year check up. She is growing very well and is one healthy little girl. We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing of health for our children! The sad part of the check up is that she had to get four shots. The nurse that gave them must have been new because she wasn’t very quick at giving the shots. Usually they get them all done in a matter of seconds but this time it was about a minute of pure agony for both Sariah and me. I hate letting them hurt my babies but I know that it immunizations are truly beneficial. They keep my kids healthy.
Sariah’s 1 year stats:
Weight: 20 lbs (27%tile)
Height: 28 inches (19%tile)
Head Circ: 45.75 cm (65%tile)
Sariah is getting very good at eating solid foods. She loves sitting at the table with all of us on her booster seat. She feels so big. She is very good at reminding us to say prayers before we eat. She will fold her arms, smile and say “Ahh!” It just too cute! Other other day, we had spaghetti for dinner. She LOVED it. She even licked the plate clean. She had spaghetti all over her face! It was too funny watching her eat.
Another love of hers is purses. Yes, she definitely is a girl. It is a routine of hers to go and find one of Vanessa’s little purses and put it over her shoulder and carry it around the house. I think it helps her feel like she is a big girl.
She LOVES books and being read to. She will grab books and bring them to either Mark or I and scoot back into our laps and insist that we read that book.
She also has developed a love for dancing. Whenever she hears music, she starts waving her hands and bouncing up and down. Vanessa has a little Princess Music player that she loves to carry around the house, pushing the button and dancing to the music. It can entertain her for awhile. She also enjoys dancing with Mark or I. She will just giggle and squeal with delight. It is so fun to see her starting to develop her own personality. We just love her so much!!!
