Wow! Christmas came fast this year! We spent the first part of the day getting the house ready for Christmas and making preps for a turkey dinner that night. Mark had to work the first half of the day and got home around 1:30. We then got headed to Mark’s parents to make some Christmas cookies. We always love getting together and making cookies! We all had so much fun! The kids loved rolling out their dough and cutting cookies. They also enjoyed sneaking frosting! While there, it began to snow. We were definitely in for a white Christmas this year! Sariah got to touch snow for the first time. She wasn’t sure what to make of it.

We headed back to the house to eat our Christmas Eve turkey dinner. It was yummy! We had turkey, potatoes and gravy, corn, rolls, Christmas jello and homemade cranberry sauce. It was fun to be home and make our own traditions. After eating, we went down stairs and played with the kids before opening up our Christmas Eve presents. The kids got some new pajamas and their Christmas pillow. They were pretty excited to put on their pj’s. They got to pick out one cookie to put on Santa’s plate before we sat down and watched the LDS Christmas Nativity Story. It was a great way to end the night thinking about our Savior and the true meaning of Christmas.

We got the kids in bed fairly early and without too much difficulty. Once they were sleeping, Santa’s little helpers got to work finishing wrapping the presents and getting things prepared for Christmas Day!
