October General Conference was amazing like always! I feel so blessed to be a member of the Church if Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to know that we have a true and living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, to lead and guide us. I love this church and I have a testimony if its truthfulness and I know that our Heavenly Father and Savior are very concerned about his children here on earth and know and love each one of us!
I think the coolest thing that was announced was the change in missionary age for both men and women! So awesome! As soon as this was announced I knew that this declaration will have a huge impact on the world and will bring many unto Him.
I wish this announcement would have come out when I was 19. I have always wanted to serve a mission but its ok because I am serving a different mission of taking care of my family and teaching my children about the gospel. Mark and I are planning on serving a senior couples mission or more when we retire. It will be great to serve with my eternal family. But for now, we will do our part in raising up our family in righteousness. If you are interested in learning more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints click here
It is a Sorensen tradition to have a girls night when the men go to the Priesthood session. So the kids and I headed to meet up with the other girls. We went to Taco Time as is tradition and had a good time chatting. We then went to Arctic Circle and got some ice cream and let the kids play on the toys. We always enjoy this time we get with each other. Thanks Mom S. for treating us to food and a wonderful night!
