So we just keep staying busy! We got some free dirt from a family we knew when we lived in our previous house. So, we decided that we should start on building an island in our front yard. I got the tools out while Mark was at home and started cutting the grass. It was much harder than I thought it was going to be, but I got some help from some of my friends in our neighborhood. With their help, we were able to get all the grass pulled out and the dirt put in it before Mark got home from work! It was AWESOME and I am so appreciative for their help. Next came laying the weed cloth, planting flowers, trees, and bushes, and putting in the mulch. We also added 3 decorative rocks to it. It took a little over a week to finish the project but we LOVE it! It adds so much curb appeal to our house and makes our yard look great!
