Well, we are in the home stretch! YAY!!! I had my first weekly appointment this past week. The doctor said that the baby is growing well and that she looks like she is scheduled to arrive on time. I am dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. I was hoping to hear that I was 6 cm dilated and ready to deliver. Was that hoping for too much? Her estimated weight is 6lbs 10 oz. He said that he expects her to gain around a half pound per week. If she stays in until her due date we will have ourselves a high 8 pound baby girl. I am hoping that she will be nice to me and come a week early.
It has just been in the last week that things have become really uncomfortable and painful. I can’t seem to bend over very well and I have been doing a lot of that lately due to me dropping everything! I can’t seem to keep things in my hands. I have been having some good contractions lately which hopefully means that things are progressing. These last few weeks always seem to be the longest but I know that they will go quickly and we will be able to finally meet our little girl.
