Since moving to Clinton, Owen’s birthday weekend has fallen on Clinton City Heritage Days and he loves it! We woke up early and made our way to watch the parade. We found a good spot and had the Thompson’s join us for the parade. The kids came away with a whole loot of candy, balls, frisbees and even a shirt and stuffed monkey! They were super excited about the monkey.

By the time we got home, Grandpa and Grandma Mendoza and Reagan were at the house. We visited for a bit then went over to ride the rides at the carnival and use up the rest of the tickets. The kids went on a bigger ride with Dad, Mia and Reagan. They spun around a lot and I was starting to think the ride operator forgot about them. He might of because he was just chatting away with my dad. The poor kids and Mark were getting pretty dizzy. When the finally got off the ride, we had to rest for a bit to get them to recover! We rode several more rides and Grandpa even won two prizes as the dart throwing booth that he gave to the kids.

After enjoying the carnival, we came home to recover and let the kids nap before heading to Owen’s birthday dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe. He loves that place and seriously eat a whole pizza by himself! We enjoyed talking and eating some yummy food. We then headed to the movies to watch The Minions and Jurassic World. We enjoyed watching the movies. The Minion movie was a bit disappointing for us adults but the kids seemed to laugh and enjoy it and that is all that matters.

We still weren’t done with the fun so we headed to go watch the Clinton fireworks at the church. The kids by this time were pretty much done and ready for bed but we still enjoyed watching them. It definitely was a fun filled day and Owen loved having his family all together to celebrate his birthday!IMG_1706 IMG_1710 IMG_1711 IMG_1719 IMG_1720 IMG_1738 IMG_1749 IMG_1775 IMG_1784IMG_1788
